Granville Village School Memories

Alumni Essay Contest

Sponsored by the Library Club

 

Granville Village School alumni are invited to participate in an essay contest sponsored by the Granville Library Club. Those entering are to share their thoughts and experiences in a 500 word or less essay and mail it to the Granville Library Club; c/o Granville Public Library, 2 Granby Road, Granville, MA 01034. Please indicate essay contest on the envelope.

Deadline is May 1, 2017.



Entries may also be submitted by email: granvill@cwmars.org (yes…no ‘e’ at end of Granville!).

Indicate: essay contest in the subject line.

 

To qualify, include a cover sheet with full name, address, phone number, and the years in which you attended the Granville Village School.

 

Three winners will each be awarded a $25 gift card to Barnes and Noble and be announced at a Granville Village School event sometime in June.

 

A collection of entries will be collated into a book to be placed in the Granville Historical Room. Submission of an entry gives permission for the Granville Library Club to do so.

Open Burning season is here! Permits required!

The open burn season started on January 15th, 2017 and will end on May 1st, 2017.

To burn you MUST contact the Granville Fire Department and apply for an open burning permit.

The permit may take up to 24 hours to be approved and issued, we ask you give a few days advanced notice when applying for the permit.

 

Please note that permits will only be issued for up to 2 days per the Department of Environmental Protection.
